Overall Thoughts:

The Sony MDR-1000x noise cancelling headphone are one of the top Bluetooth headphones on the market right now. I bought these headphones on sale for $329 and they usually retail for $399. They come in two colors, black as seen in the video and beige. The Bose QC35 is Sony's competition and is also a great noise cancelling Bluetooth headphone (which I will review after this video.) The Sony looks great, sounds great, and has loads of amazing features. As far as design, the Sony MDR-1000x Noise Cancelling Headphone Review I did has a sleek design and looks very sharp. The overall build is made out of plastic but it feels and looks like a premium build with high quality. The headphones are also very flexible and has a nice range of motion and feels sturdy. As far as comfort, these are very comfortable and you could easily wear these for 2-3 hours of listening with no discomfort. The clamping force is on the lower side and not too much. I would only say that if you're not used to wearing headphones for a couple of hours, your ears might start to get warm and you might want to take them off so your ears can get a breather.

When it comes to features, the headphones is loaded. It is advertised that the battery life is about 20 hours and I would say that is pretty accurate. The headphones also have a built in mic so you can talk on the phone while wearing them. It also has NFC capability so if you have a NFC device you can pair it but holding your device on top of the headphone. One of the areas these headphones shine is the noise cancelling feature. I listened to these headphones and did some noise test and these did an amazing job cancelling out outside noise while maintaining high quality audio. You can also turn off the noise cancelling feature by pressing the button but in my experience it doesn't make a difference. Sony also has a feature called the "Sense Engine" where it customizes and tailors a noise cancelling feature based on things such as your head shape, glasses, etc. I personally don't think it made a huge difference. Sony also has a feature called "Ambient Sound" and it has two options, ambient normal and ambient voice. Ambient normal lets you hear your surrounding noise while the ambient noise is primarily for being able to pick up on voice if someone starts talking to you.

Another feature is if you are listening to music and someone comes up to you to talk, you can put your right hand on the right ear cup and it mutes the music so you can have a conversation. Also on the right ear cup, if you swipe right, it skips a track, swipe left and it goes to the previous song, and up and down is for volume. The left ear cups acts as a play/pause if needed. Now the sound, after listening to these headphones for a while, they sounded very well balanced. The bass has a great tight punchy bass and is crisp where it doesn't make the music sound muddy at high volumes. Now the bass is a little on the leaner side and not bass heavy so for those that love bass, you might not be too impressed with the sound of these headphones. In return of a leaner bass, you are getting really great clarity and it stays consistent with all types of music. Combining the clarity with the dynamic range, it produces an impressive listening experience with all types of music. The sound provides great details and it produces an overall natural sounding headphones. The best way to summarize it that these headphones sound great with all types of music. Overall I think these are a great pair of Bluetooth headphones with an amazing noise cancelling feature. The headphones look great, they are comfortable, and has great sound. I would recommend these headphones for those that are on the go and will be for example, traveling, riding the bus or subway.
