Overall Thoughts:
The Vizio SB3621N-E8 is an incredible sound bar for those on a budget! I bought it on sale for $120 dollars and you can usually find it around $150 when it's not on sale. In the box, it comes with a remote, 3.5mm Aux cable, RCA and coaxial cable, an optical cable, manual, and the wall mounting brackets and instructions. Now when you're trying to decide which soundbar to get, there are so many options on the market and it can become a little overwhelming deciding which one to pick and which one is right for you. The Vizio definitely does stand out and is very unique, but is it the best budget soundbar in 2017? Let's find out!
So first up the design, starting from the side it has a silver plate which has a really clean and sharp finish. From there, majority of the sound bar is made out of fabric and this design definitely doesn't come off cheap and maintains a high quality look. In the middle you have you power, input, and bluetooth button as well as your volume control buttons. Overall the design of the soundbar looks great and has a sleek design. The 5 inch subwoofer also has a silver finish in the front which looks like a premium sub and on the bottom, you have the power input, the pairing and on and off button. On the side, it's mainly all black and then lastly on the back it has an all silver plate design with the V logo and looks absolutely beautiful and very sharp!
As far as the inputs on the back, there is an aux, usb, and power input and on the right hand side it has a digital as well as an optical input. The remote that comes with the soundbar is really nice and it also has a little screen on the top. You can navigate through the menu and adjust the soundbar's treble and bass, you can also adjust the subwoofer bass level, as well as select different inputs such as aux, bluetooth, etc. Also, when you increase or decrease the volume, on the left hand side of the bar, there will be led lights that indicate the volume level by showing dots.
Now let's talk about the sound! So I spent time watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games and what I gathered is the soundbar produces great clarity with a lot of details in the mids and highs and has a great tight punchy bass which is a little on the leaner side. The 5 inch subwoofer is great has the bass is very tight and organized and I wouldn't say it's too bass heavy or too little, rather it's right in the middle. When I was watching a movie, the vocals sounded so crisp and clear and you can hear everything so easily. While listening to music with lots of instruments, you can hear so much detail in the music and you might even hear things that you might of not heard before because the clarity is outstanding and it sounds really clean.
Normally I would have things to point out that I am not a huge fan of, but with the Vizio SB3621N-E8, there's really not much to complain about. For $120 dollars, you're getting such a high quality setup and it really comes off as a $250 dollar soundbar because the sound is incredible! I would say if you are trying to upgrade from you TV speakers or computer speakers and you want great sound spreading around the room and bringing the room to life, then the Vizio SB3621N-E8 is a fantastic option! Now if you want to upgrade and you're not on a budget and you want a very wide surround sound, especially if you have a really large room then you might want to consider a different soundbar. I do want to mention that those soundbars can cost anywhere from $500 - $600 or even higher and that's why the vizio really stands out because you're getting a really high quality soundbar system for a great price!
